If they are anything like the shots on http://www.sportshots.be/ then they are great....

OK... got 'em now... ;)
Overall, they're great. The colours look good, there are plenty of faces and the action fills the frame.
OK, so I'm no expert, but I'm going to give some feedback since there seems to be an air of expectation
The first thing that strikes me is that the pitch has got a serious left to right slope. It's downhill all the way in a number of the pics... better suited to skiing than football.
#1 doesn't do a lot for me - except to make me wonder if one of the players has dropped his car keys on the floor.
#5 is, let's face it, out of focus.
#7 needs to be a goal to give it some 'value'
...and, it's probably just me, but I'm not a big fan of square crops.
But overall, it's top banana stuff. I'd love to have lighting like that at some of the matches I end up covering... it is really good work Raceshot... and I don't mean to be harsh with my C&C... you clearly know what you're doing!

the captures are really clean, there are some where the action is not enough like 2, 4, and 8

Thanks for your C&C everyone.
@ marcatkins : all these shots were made with the 20D and 300 f2,8
@ gman : I've included the first one 'cause it came straight of my camera like that, it's no crop. The fifth one is out of focus, it's part of a series, and the other ones are well sharp (don't know why I posted this one instead). I took #7 right before the player chipped the ball beautifully over the keeper, so it was a goal  .
Wednesday we've got our last game before newyear for the Belgian Cup, if they're ok, I'll post some.

Good stuff...one thing to watch for while shooting sports stuff are things on the sideline. Not sure you can get much on a soccer sideline, but football and lacrosse are good sidelines to watch.

Christmas and New Year is pretty busy over here - I've got something like seven games lined up

Not sure you can get much on a soccer sideline, but football and lacrosse are good sidelines to watch. There are sometimes a few shots to be had on the sidelines at a football (soccer) match... I posted some a while back if they're of interest: http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=117885&highlight=sidelines
I'm sure there's plenty going on on the Belgian sidelines as well ;)

Thanks for your compliments.
I shoot for Germinal-Beerschot, a team in the Belgian Premiership and last years cup winner. As I'm waiting on my official presscard, I'll probably start working for a few magazines and/or newspaper in february or march next year. Despite not having the presscard I already had a few publications in national newspapers and magazines.
The competition here ended last weekend, as it will start again mid january. Between Christmas and New Year I've got allmost every day a cyclocross-race (9 on 11 days) so it will be rather busy over here too.
I'll try to find some sideline-images, but I'm afraid I don't have too many; just some coaches on and off the bench. Yesterday evening I read a big part of your Sports Q&A topic, and it's almost scary to see how several working-methods and line-ups are similar to mine. The biggest difference is that I'm working in raw (for as long as it's possible, if the pressure comes up to load up images really fast, it will be jpeg instead of raw).
