This is my first camera and some of my shots come out ok and some come out terrible. My ploblem is sometimes i can't focus on something when in full zoom and I don't know much about iso ratings, shutter, and apature settings. Well here is the shots I took, I am using a tripod and some handheld shots. Tell me what I need to work on. Going to enroll in a dig. photo. class this summer but if you guys know where there is some good tutorials on-line i would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

shots are ok, when focusing make sure your on a contrasty part of the subject as it should focus at the long end ok, iso 50 is best 100 is ok but it gets noisey after that i.e like film grain.

Boosted, you said in your posting on that site that you were using Super Macro and Macro mode. Shooting such close-ups almost by definition gives you a very shallow depth of focus, and is very tricky. The S2 even refuses to zoom in much when using the Super Macro mode... I think the pictures you posted were very good for what you were shooting -- those are not easy images to capture!

But keep practicing, and note what happens with varying the distance from the subject and using different zoom settings.
