I took this photo using a Canon EOS 10D, 30 second exposure, F9.5, ISO 100 with a EF 28-105 USM zoom.

The night sky was very clear and light as there was a bright moon. Please let me know what you think.

Very nice photo of an interesting building! You did a good job capturing all the different colors.

My only complaint are the flags in the bottom left corner. They look a little blurred. There must have been some wind the night you took this shot.

Very good exposure, sharp and clear. Well done.

Hi thanks for the feeback and yes, there was a light breeze. The exposure was for 30 seconds..so I guess the flags would be blurred. However...

This photo was taken in the Mall at ISO 400 1/3 second, F3.5. There was a breeze as well, but I was lucky with this shot as the flag did not move that much.

A weird-looking building.
I've seen a milk processing plant in New Zealand that
looks like that.

I find the right hand side a little overexposed & uninteresting.
Personally I like this image as a vertical with the lighter
more conventional part on the right cropped off.

You did well. A very good time exposure.
Your moon and Union Flag is also excellent

Hi thanks for the feedback.

The exaggerated stainless steel external piping of this inside out building make for an interesting photo. The lifts go up and down the outside of the building. It must be a unique place to work in.

I agree that the right side of the Lloyds photo is overexposed. By co-incidence, I actually took another photo portrait mode at the same time, as you suggested which you can view at http://photos.andrewor.com/london_by_night

As for the flag, it was after about 15 attempts at various settings that I managed to get a result that I liked. The flag is actually backlit by a streetlamp which compliments the moon's glow. The white balance was set to Tungsten to ensure that I didn't get a yellow effect.

Hi
Thank you for your comments.
I did look at your portrait mode shot of Lloyds and do actually prefer it. After the striking design of the front of the building, the side is a bit of an anti-climax.

All your shots are very good indeed.
You went to a lot of trouble obtaining a good well-exposed shot of the Union Flag. Your efforts paid off.

Thanks again for sharing your images with us.
