I took this from my rooftop. At the time it was at 2100 feet and about 2 miles away. This is a crop from the main image.

It was impressive enough for me to go stupid with the shutter. I have pics of it coming straight towards me, flying away from me, crossing left to right and right to left...

Overkill, really but, hey, the pics didn't have to be developed and printed for me to see them.

It doesn't really look that big in the picture, except for the teensy little windows. The engines must be twice as big as a 747's.
