Cropping Ixus 750 Photos

My friend has bought an Ixus 750 and a Selphy printer on my recomendation. It's an excellent camera, however she'll never use most of it's features.

It seems to lack one obvious feature that she wants. Using the camera, she wants to zoom in on a section of a picture she has taken, then send the viewfinder image to the printer.

Or is it there after all, and I have missed it?

I'm surprised that after a week, nobody has answered this. It is very dificult to compose a shot and take it perfectly. So is it so surprising that someome wants to subsequently recompose the picture and print the resulting shot? Quite a common situation with small compact cameras I would have thought.

I never print images directly to a printer so I have got no idea I'm afraid.

Direct printing is designed to be "quick and easy". Unfortunately, when you go that route you sacrifice flexibility.
