I've never seen a Sapsucker before. The tree and the bird actually look bloodied.

I like both shots very much. The Red Breasted Sapsucker is not a bird we see in my area ( we do get the Yellow Bellied Sapsucker). Great color and light. Oh yes and the N.Flicker is beautiful.
