Well it is interesting .. but I am not sure what to critique.

I guess that on close the subject just lacks interest and focus.

I have the same problem with shots of trees that border my woods. That is to say, the immersion feels wonderful and alive: but that same feeling is just not coming through in my largely two color (black & green leaf) images.
