So ive been trying to come up with ideas for a new desk because mine has gotten cluttered and i need more space. Ill probably end up building one since nothing fits the room I have available.
So I thought it would be interesting to see what other people are working with whether its at home or work.
Here is my current set up

Haha that's how my desk gets it a catch all for my daily junk. I have to clean it off once a week.

Yeah I record my own Audio. I usually record my guitars and use the MIDI keyboard for compositions. I like to mic up the marshal amp and mix it with a direct in from the petal board to get some of that natural room reverb. I use a mackie mixer to balance and equalize.
I am starting to get into HDSLR and its super fun. I am really looking forward to adding sound effects to the video so I think the MIDI controller sound equipment will help me capture that.

Hmm... looking at the pic again, I notice a lack of studio monitors, I hope you're not using that tinny speaker set to judge your audio, are you? I myself am aiming to get some low-to-mid-range monitors (Focal Solo6's, probably) as what I have now isn't enough.
Everyone seems to throw around quotes like "Audio is 70% of the video experience" so I guess it's about time for me to improve in that area as well.

This must be one of those new fangled chairless computer areas I've heard so much about.
How does it work?

Glad to see this thread start to take off. I think seeing other peoples work space helps inspire us and make you think about how we approach similar needs differently.
GotAudi looks like you have lots of room I envy that. At my last apartment My roommate was a Composer so we shared an office space similar to your set up so I always had lots of free music haha. Ive been thinking of getting a mixing board for mixing audio in my videos but I wonder if Premiere or audition have the ability to connect a hardware mixer to the software one?

Here's my mess. I made the desk myself. We have cats so I can't leave an empty space anywhere or they will jump up there all the time.

If I were mastering a lot of tracks together I would use studio monitor in a treated room. Headphones are a great way to mix non super critical things and get a great sound out of the recording. Ideally you want to listen to your mix on a lot of different types of speakers/sources so you can get a feel of the levels. I use a pair of Sennheiser HD 600 headphones and I think they do a decent job for mixing and mastering.
I do plan on treating the room to some extent to use monitors as mixing/mastering on monitors is superior.

Those are Dorrough 40-A loudness monitors, the mixer provides an audio input to the workstation for external analog devices, the software being Sony Sound Forge.

LOL. It's the back door and doesn't get used. The lobby was previously used as a coat cupboard until I changed it. Just goes to show yo can work almost anywhere if you need to.
