The swans hang around a smaller Mn. town named Monticello.
There is a very small park where myself and 3 others met up to take pics.

Here are a few shots from today.

Canon D Reb XT. Sigma 80-400os, 70-300is, 400 f5.6, 28-135is lenses were all used.

This gal comes out at about 10:30 am to feed them.

Great shots! I especially like the one of them landing and the takeoff.

They are all great images, the detail in the white plumage of No 1 and 2 are stunning.
Well done.

The first photo is special ( wonderful light) but the next 4 are all excellent as well. The last shot is a great way to close the series.

You are correct Dimitri. That shot was taken with a Canon 400 F5.6.
I don't own one (yet) one of the other guys let me take a few shots with it
while he used my 70-300is. We both were impressed by the lens we used,
and are both planning on getting that lens. I'm hoping Canon adds i.s. to the
lens before I save up the cash to buy it.

davev,
they were all nice shots. I took a look at your website and loved what I saw. You have the style/feel to your shots that I am trying to develop. Now, I just need the time go take some shots.

I just keep going back to #4, as perfectly timed as one could ask for. Well done on all of them.
