i finally decided to switch from 24-105 to the brick. just got mine yesterday from a fellow POTN-er. WOW, this thing lives up to its name for sure!!!

Yes, it's just part of a bunch of lilies in a vase on our diningroom table....hence no movement from wind.

You can see where I missed one bit of a stamen though!:confused: (Need more practice!)

I like the comp of this one too. Where was it taken.

Reminds me of the flower boxes in Germany that seemed to be on every window in the little villages. This one was in Meersburg, shot with "The Brick". Despite the weight, I used this lens a lot on my trip.

awesome! my wife was JUST complaining to me about how i had never taken her here. So this is a good place to go at night even. I've never really done a stars photo...can you give me some tips?

I imagine I'll be setting up a tripod, my 10-20 and/or fisheye. 10 second exposures on 100 ISO? f/10 or so?

I'm trying to use the bridge structure to frame the mountains in the background when they are illuminated with late afternoon light - a frame within a frame so to speak. I employed a long exposure this trip to create a "glow" in the water and clouds. Not quite there yet, but getting closer to my personal vision.
