I'm looking into getting a small compact that has Manual/Av & a good histogram mode. I don't care about the megapixels and other features, as long as it has that. Exposure compensation would be terrific too! Oh, and selectable ISO of course...

I want to use it as small/pocket lightmeter for when I use my big, old film classic cameras :D
Right now I use the Canon 350D, wich works fabulously, but it's not really practical for "small walk" type of gear :D

There MUST be a compact that is like 2 years old and has that kind of stuff, no ?

All the Canon powershots from the A510 up have Tv Av Man Prog and Auto. I just bought an S60 which has all these and is almost up to G5 spec. The S70 and S80 are the current models which no doubt will do this as well. The best resource is the Canon website which has an excellent 'compare' facility. The Kelkoo website will locate the cheapest retail sources for you. Obviously you wont get the standard of output that you are used to with your 350D but the powershots can turn up some excellent results - and certainly usable.

Just stick with the C**** word!
