I got my wife a SD550 for Christmas and i am wondering if there is a noticable difference in performance in these cameras using a standard SD card vs a high speed card? Do I really need the Ultra II's for this camera? (I ussually stay with sandisk, I have had good luck with their CP cards) Or will the standard card be ok?
TIA

Greetings- The camera will only write information to the memory card as fast as it's able.
You can have the fastest card card in the world, the camera doesn't care.
Save some money, buy a decent card or two for the price that you would spend on the ultra series.

A super high-speed memory card is recomended, such as the SDC-512MSH.
P.42 in your owners manual.
