Is there a way of rotating a move by 90 degrees? I tilted the camera and found out the hard way that that feature only works with stills.

I think the movies on cams are very limiting. I noticed you can't zoom when shooting or replaying. But eventualy they will get better.

All i can suggest is to modify it on the computer and then put the video back on the cam.

I thought you couldn't put the videos back on the cam. Isn't that the case?

I've heard alot of people having trouble putting them back on.

Apparently its possible but i haven't tried it as yet. If someone can, please let us know.

Having just got an A70 to replace an ailing A20 I'm currently in "test/play/suck it & see" mode!

So I tried a portrait video - and tried to rotate it. So far the only solution I can offer you is tiresome, clumsy and far from perfect - but for the record - this is what I found worked (sorta)

I used videowrks to convert the movie to an uncompressed AVI.

I used Jasc animation pro to rotate the frames - but this (a) lost the sound and (b) changed the movie from 30 seconds to 31 and 7/15ths of a second! [this is because animation shop can't set frame durations to fractions of a millisecond!)

So - I then used cooledit to extract the sound from the original avi file and stretch it to the correct length (you can do some clever stuff in cooledit!)

Finally I used videoworks to import the sound to the uncompressed rotated move and re-compress it from the 1Gb file to 2 Megs!

So I now have a movie that plays - but the sound is still a bit out of sync. It also looks weird being in portrait mode so I shan't be doing it again (The above also took me an hour or so as well!!!)

What I would like to be able to do though, is edit a movie and put it back on the camera so it plays. (See my post for details)

Best of luck. - And if anyone has a better way please be sure to tell us all.

There's got to be a better way of rotating movies?
