smudged lens

there seems to be a slight smudge on my camera lens....

how should I clean without damaging/scratching the lens?

I always use a special very soft cloth my wife got with her new glasses. When it's good enough for your glasses (and most important: doesn't scratch) it should also be good enough for your lens.

Careful not to apply too much pressure while cleaning. Easy does it.

Also, lens cleaning tissue (or q-tip) with destilled water or pure alcohol can be used. Do not use any tissue that may deposit lint.

Lens cleaning kits are available at all camera stores and on the internet. They come with a soultion and soft cloths which do not scratch - safer to use those rather than do something and scratch the lens !
