question on SIGMA

Hi,

I am looking at getting a zoom lense for the 10D, I am wondering if anyone has had any experence with the following:

135-400mm F4.5-5.6 APO ASP

170-500mm F5-6.3 APO ASP

Are they any good, are they old and cause the Error 99 on the camera?

Have the 170-500 for sale since I switched to the 300 f/4L. It's a good lens and rarely used. Just happened to get my hands on some money before my wife did.

Used it on a D60, no problems, no errors!
