You might want to check out www.bhphoto.com and look at the USED EQUIPMENT section on the bottom left. I was just looking and saw some used 10D's. (And no, I have no affiliation with them whatsoever).

I was in my local Best Buy after Christmas, and they had the 10D for sale. This is very curious to me, as they never had it when it was a current item. They had it for $899 USD with the kit lens. If you have one nearby, check it out or go online.

A local shop in North Carolina has a few 10Ds for sale at 699 USD. I saw them when I looked at my used Tamron lenses. Try this (http://www.charlottecamera.com).

The prices have really gone down on them, if you can find one. Still a really good buy. I'm not giving up mine even though I ordered a 20D. So, I understand. Good luck. and remember, mint means, used - a lot.

Sorry I thought I'd subscribed to this thread but I guess I didn't. Anyway I found a mint 10D on FM along with a tamron 28-75 lens and I'm working on a deal for a Sigma APO Macro II lens for her as well so things are shaping up nicely.

Good luck. I think you'll really like the images from the 10D. To me, it seems to have the best color balance for portraits/people photography. But, that could just be my bias :D

I already own a 10D this one is for my sister in law as she really took a liking to my rig over the holidays so we're copying it for her

Great store here in Monterey that carries like new cameras. They have some 10ds and 20ds in like new condiiton (I have seen them) They seem to be selling a lot (!) of Hasselbad 22MP digital systems to folks who are trading in their Canon equipment. Check them out. camerawest.com (http://www.camerawest.com) Prices for the 10d are $675-$795. The 20d as low as $995
