The weather is overcast today, but I still managed to see some birds flying around. I was able to get close to use my 70-200, which is the longest thing I have right now. I know very little about birds and would like to know what these are if you happen to know. Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I was very lucky. I think this guy was about 4 inches tall.

Nice composition of a Downy. This one is quite a bit darker/browner in the breast, underparts and in head ( stripes) than I am used to. Generally they are quite white in those areas...perhaps he needs a bath;) In any case, a nice capture of the smallest of our woodpeckers.

Thanks Garry. It's been raining a lot lately and I barely got this shot off before it started raining again. Maybe he's been playing in the mud? :)
