If anyone has time I'd like you to tell me what you think of these two photos:

and

They were taken with a nikon coolpix 775, and the second one is of a petal, which has seemed ambiguous to some.

Thanks

Hi Harri

You are very modest. Your photos are good and combining black and white and colour is clever and artistic.

Perhaps the background on the first picture is a little bright and "busy". Its brightness tends to draw one's eye away from the flower in colour. I find I'm looking at the background and trying to figure out what's there.

This is not right. The viewer's eyes will wander over the whole composition but must settle on the main subject.

The petals on the flower are also a little washed out.
Maybe a little overexposed. Most of these little points are just that......... little points and can be fixed by correct exposure and a little extra work in the editing program.

You are clearly very artistic and talented.

Hopefully you will treat us to more of your photos very soon.

Kind regards
eland

Thanks for your comments, next time i am in the area i will try and get a better exposed photo, also i should have a new camera, which should mean i can get the petal a bit sharper and i might try slightly softening the background.
