excellent stuff

you seem to have captured the overall mood of isolie aeolie nicely!
good variety of shots with the cats, people, flowers and dust, and your lizard is now my wallpaper.

cheers
andy

PS I worked on Stromboli a long time ago, nice to see it hasn't changed so much to the extent that the beach bar could still do with a fresh paint job...

http://www.educeth.ch/stromboli/ is run by the observatory guys, some nice pictures there too...

Hello Andy,

Thank you for your follow-up! I'm very happy to hear you liked my photos. I didn't expect to get a comment from a person that has actually been there as well - even better so!

Maybe the beach bar has been painted meanwhile ;-) For me it was the first time on the island. However, I would have been quite surprised if somebody had told me it had changed a lot recently.

Great to hear you liked the lizard... For a very technical reason, I used it myself for making test prints. Now I have a plenty of them; just in case you would have any interest at all, I can send you one (for free, of course).

Like your gallery,

Jouko

Hi Jouko,
verry good fotos, my compliment.
And you can see: not the Camera is important - no - the Person or the Eye behind....!!

along with the smell of capers, that's my lasting memory of Stromboli, so it would be good to have an nice quality image
