First bird post - ID?

OK...so it's not a duck.....was visiting family in Kentucky and got this shot

i'm no expert,plus i live in the UK,but from other photos i've seen posted on the forum it looks like a white throated sparrow :D nice pic it is too :D

Thanks shazz...That appears to be spot on. I didn't come across that one in my online searches. You must either be up early or up late :D

glad i could help :D up early,waiting to see what the weather is like,maybe a zoo trip on the cards,or a trip to visit some Red Kites in our area,not sure yet,depends on the driver (hubby) :D

I have to say I never really considered bird shots until seeing some of the great captures on this forum. Since going out and trying to get some of my own I've realized how much work it is. I have a new found respect for all the photographers showing their work here.
