Shutter Button on S400

Hi, yesterday I received my S400 and the first thing I noticed when turning it on is the pressure I needed to apply to press the shutter button fully down. It is easy to half press the shutter to get focus but when I complete the press, it feels like more pressure is needed then normal. I was wondering if everyone with the S400 has this issue. That seems to be my only concern for now. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

I have the S-400 as well. I think that the pressure to snap the shutter is fine (IMHO). There is a definite change in pressure between holding focus and operating the shutter, the purpose of which is to prevent one from accidentally snapping the shutter prematurely. You presumably want to grab focus, hold it and re-align the camera while holding the shutter button at 1/2 position to keep the focus set.
