View Full Version : 3D Old Tin Mine

In Cornwall, England, there are dotted all over the county the derelict buildings of tin mines. Most stopped being worked a century ago -- like this one.
This is a crossed stereo pair. Sit about 2 or 3 feet from your monitor. The left eye looks at the right image and the right eye looks at the left image. Crossing your eyes thus is only minimal; do not strain or go bug-eyed. Relax. A central image should appear giving stereo depth.
If you have a tiltable monitor I think this looks better if slightly tilted away from you so the colours are made darker/saturated. I post this bright version because I know many prefer that luminosity.
300D, handheld sidestep cha-cha, polarising filter and processed in Stereo Photo Maker.

Awesome! Another 3D winner. That has some really nice depth to it. Good job Balliolman!

I truly wish I could be out there shooting.
The weather here is perfect, but my boss thinks I'm more useful here in my office. . . . . right. ;)

WOW!! Great effect. I could almost look around the wall to see what was on the other side!

When you do get out to shoot, John, I bet your 'L' glass will produce some sharp stuff especially with your good eye for composition behind the viewfinder!

Another excellent shot there.
Where was this mine? I really must try the one I took at Dolcoath.
As you say, the engines houses are dotted all over the county. The one I use for my avatar is the Wolf Pumping House near Tintagel.

Absolutely incredible. I’ve tried to see the 3D on a few other shots before and wasn’t able. This one really popped. It took a while to unfocus and get back to reality. Thanks.
