...act as an optical slave? I've been playing with it on my Sigma. It blows my wife's mind that I can use the flash for our old PnS Kodak digital.

Nope, but you can get a cheap optical slave trigger to attach to the hot shoe. I've got one I use when I put my 540EZ on a boom as a hair light.
