G1 & Sunpack 355AF, fragment CF (possible?)

I was playing/testing around with the G1 & a Sunpack 355AF flash that I got for my SLR.
It seems to work fine with the camera in manual mode. I set the shutter speed to 1/60, 1/125, 1/200.
If anyone know a potential problem with the set up, please let me know.

Does anyone know that if CF can become fragmented like hard disk? I ran across the following situation:
took picture, used * to delete it, camera stayed in busy for a long time. I had to remove the battery, reformat
the CF. It seems to work fine now. If you ran across similar problem, please let me know your solution. Thanks.

This is the same setup I use. I have experienced no problems using this flash with this camera. Once I remembered my manual flash techniques again everything worked out fine. I was dissapointed to find out that the sunpack which worked with my elan IIe only worked in manual mode with the g1. But I learned to work around it.
