I like taking quick pictures of people's momentary expressions/action/whatever. Wasn't this camera too slow and you lost a picture because of it? I appreciate any input on this. Thank you.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's too slow...I've not had a chance to experiement with catchin' expressions on the spur of the moment, but I'm sure that you could play with the settings to get a nice outcome...
there's a "fast motion" setting in the camera which would be good because you're not going to be steadily holding the camera when you catch quick expressions :P

That's exactly the poit! :) And how does the "fast motion" setting work? Is it just about the fast shutter speed (short exposure) or is it something else? Thank you.

OK, thank you. I have checked the S50's menus and found out it is a fast shutter mode.
