I'm looking for a fairly cheap telephoto to play with with my new 350D. I don't have the money right now after this purchase for a good lens, so I'm looking for someone selling a used one..
I'm also looking for lens to shoot indoor using available light..I know, that's probably not in my price range.. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

70/75-300 would be my choice for you.

See if you can find a 70-300 APO DG Sigma or 100-300 USM Canon. Both have decent reputations and can be found SH and reasonable prices. I think the Sigma is a better all round option and lots cheaper .... relatively.
For a fast portrait style lens that takes great shots you're looking at the 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 for indoors. Be worth getting the former one new as around $80-90 I would guess.
Another option if you understand exposure, the interplay between ISO, shutter speed and F-Stop, is to look for some of the manual focus lenses that take adaptors for Canon DSLR's. Everything is manual, including focus, but the quality is excellent. I have Pentax K Mounted 1.4 and 1.7 off ebay that are superb and cost me silly money: pocket change. If you find one or other that takes the cheaper/easier to find M42 mount then you will enjoy it. You'll have to forget the whole point and shoot, machine gun, 1/100's a keeper style tho ;-) Great way to learn ...

I'd take it off eBay if somebody offered me $150 shipped.

Our local Walmart has the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III for $169. Just an FYI.
