One of the gazillion species from Costa Rica. I bet there would be a potent burn from those hairs.

That is one colorful and dangerous looking caterpillar, great shot.:D :D :D

Odd method of leaf eating that caterpillar's got- most of them eat on an edge.

Thanks Dennis, I'm a teacher but I've been a small tour operator for about 10 years. I just shut down my business due to insurance demands. My tours have been to Costa Rica mainly but also Panama and Brazil. I worked as a field zoologist in Brazil for five years and love the rain forest.
