I think I will go for one of these 2 combinations:
350D+Sigma 24-70EX/Tamron 28-75/Sigma 18-50 DC EX+Sigma 70-200 F/2.8 EX+some other stuff like a tripod, maybe a flash..
or
20D+kit 18-55+same 70-200EX+smae stuff
what do you think will be better?
Will the 20D be better because then you can upgrade to better lenses?
thanks..

Image wise I understand there is lillte if anything in it between the 350 and the 20, it very muche depends on your personal preference on size and handling which are quite different between the two. The 20D is faster (5fps) and has bigger buffer so it depends on how critical those things are to you.
As for lenses, depends on where you are coming from.. if you are coming from Dig P&S or Film SLR might make a difference. The 24-70 is a great lens but you migth miss the short end (ie 18mm) if you are used to film SLRs. If you are ex Dig P&S then don't knock the quality of the kit lens straight away - within its limitations its pretty good.
350 or 20 it doesn;t matter in terms of future upgrades for lenses both are fully EF and EF-S compatibly.

If you need speed in action and sports, then 20D all the way. Its faster in all aspects. But if you don't need speed, then go for the lens + 350D.

Of course 'speed' is good but the truth is you can take perfectly superb shots of any subject matter with a 300D, let alone a 350D or a 20D.
Personally, I would look at a mint and boxed SH 20D as my first choice because that camera is due for replacement according to all the 'Internet gossip' within the next 3-4 months or so. Seems a low mileage 20D is going for £650-700 in the Uk which is only around £100-150 more than a good deal on a 350D. However, I wouldn't buy new unless I intended keeping it for next two years or so because of heavy depreciation when the replacement comes along and many try to offload their own 20D's to buy it.
The 350D is a superb little camera and most will never use to full capacity, let alone need a 20D. I've had most of the lenses you shortlist and they are superb options. I would always tend to advise investing more in lenses having worked out what you need because bodies come and go.

Image quality from both cameras is pretty much the same - and both are capable of producing excellent shots.
20D is a bigger camera, has easier access to some functions, and has a better viewfinder.
Difficult choice though ...I originally started out with a 350D + Sigma 24-70 - excellent combination, but I soon found 24mm wasn't quite wide enough for me. Now I have both camera bodies plus a reasonable range of lenses, and my first pick of the bunch is most often the 20D + Canon 17-40mm.
