Not your typical lion shot

I was at our local open range zoo today. Weather started off well, cloudy but still good. Got good shots of most of the animals. I get to the lion enclosure, and it starts pouring with rain, the sky goes white and the glass wall has rain drops everywhere. *Sigh*.

I did get some ok shots of some wet lions, but just as I finished one of the boys came running out from the bushes towards his brother. I got my camera out as quick as I could and captured them playing....it only lasted a moment.

I didn't have time to change any settings etc so it's not great quality...but how often do you see two adult male lions playing!

That is a great action shot, but the character , composition and subject remind me of ancient paintings........biblical might be a word I would use in describing this photo. Only thing missing is the end of the tail on left. Very nice in any case.

Thankyou. The mist/rain does add a certain feel to it that I like. The tail is there, I just cropped it for the resize :)
