So i finally got to go test out my 60mm canon lens. this may not be a macro, but rather a closeup, but I would like any pointers to help me improve. I think maybe a crop to remove the sky background would help center your eye more on the head of the lizard rather than distracting you. i also tend not to use the rule of thirds on macro shots since you want to fill the frame with them, which i probably could have done a little better on.
Specs are:

1/200th
f 7.1
ISO 200
used my underwater strobe/flash on e-ttl positioned just above the camera

Great shot with that lens. very sharp. If you want to increase DOF, you might want to try an f11 to f16. the head of this one is razor sharp.:D :D and Welcome to THE FORUM for Macroholics.:D :D :D :D

Welcome to the forums
its a very nice nice shot. as BE said the head is razor sharp......however.........one thing i would have done different tho is hold the camera in vertical format....(the lizard is posing that way so having the frame parallel to the lizard would have aided composition).......... that way you would also have got the whole Lizard in the shot...(filling the frame with the lizard and not the background)............ looks like there was plenty of light also so i'd have gone with ISO 100.... the rule of thirds and composition applies as much in macro photos as it does in any other shot......... it's not just about filling the frame.. if it was we'd all own electron microscopes ;)
