I'll be leaving the office in about an hour, headed to my local shop to pick up the 20D.

I still don't have mine yet. Jan 4 is the delivery, but I'm patient. I've only cried about 3 times this week. ;) Congrats. Have fun with it. Tell me if it smells new? I love that new car/camera smell.

Pretty much, yeah.

My daughter might want to buy the 300D from me, so that would also free up some more cash for new glass! She won't let me "give" it to her, because she thinks that'll leave me some leeway to grab it when I need a quick back-up.

Man, the hits just keep on comin'...

My local dealer got close enough to the B&H price to get me to give him my business. I'll be getting the grip through B&H, and won't order that until tonight, but the body will be in my hands in short order.

And it damn well better have that "new" smell!

Yeah when I got mine last week , I had expected in the morning and when the UPS guy went by and I figured that the local UPS was going to be day late , not matter what the tracking info said. But that night as I walked out getting ready to go on duty and was about to get in my patrol car the UPS man pulled up , the look on his face was a worth a picture , he figured I was coming looking for him. I ran inside and got the batteries and the battery grip so I could carry it with me . But we were to busy and never got a chance. But the next morning after getting off duty I took pictures of my cat just to say I had used the camera. It annoyed the cat , but I had used my 20D yeppie.:)

Are you sure you wouldn't rather wait for the new Super-duper 20DMegaMk2Plusxxx ? :lol:

Enjoy the new body, i did the same "Upgrade" 10 months ago, the only difference being you already have some quality lenses to go with it, mine came later :)

Cool! New camera and new (coming soon) glass. It doesn't get better than that!

And yes, new cameras and lenses do have a new smell. :)

Took this today with my new 20D and the 50mm 1.8 mkII lens. This is a square crop from the original made with Raw Shooters Premium. Good program to work in raw with.
