I went with an old friend to the historical Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida today to take some pictures of the wildlife. I was pretty happy with a lot of the pictures I took, so I'll post a bunch of them over the next week or two.
Shot handheld with my 70-200 IS lens.

Bruce, I'll be posting several more of these pictures, so at least this week I'll be a regular contributor in the "Florida section". :D

Nice series Joel. Very sharp lens.
Only a week ago, I considered selling this lens to finance a 100-400 L IS lens. After seeing the results of these images, I can't imagine parting with it.
Thanks everyone for your comments and kind words. :D

All fantastic shots, Joel. Images like yours are leading me closer and closer to investing in this lens over my original thoughts on the cheaper 70-200 f4L.

Thanks Mark. I here the 70-200 f4L is just as sharp as my lens. I shot most of these images around F/5.6, so the larger aperture wasn't needed, but the IS is really great. All these shots were taken hand-held.
