Only real problem I've seen in 10D firmware is that it sometimes does not come back to shooting mode from preview as it should (instantly). Sometimes it thinks few seconds for nothing and you need to tap shutter a few times. This is what I'd like to see fixed.

My 10D has 1.0.0. When it comes out, I'm curiouos. How does one update the firmware? Is there software to do this with? etc and so forth....

Usually by copying firmware data to CF and loading it from camera. See http://web.canon.jp/Imaging/D60/D60_Firm-e.html for D60 update instructions.

My 10D on version 1.0.0 can put anything from 92-106 shots on a 256 card. It always depends on the images I shot. A lot of detail takes up more space.

This is the official statement from Canon and can be found at http://www.powershot.com. I'm not going to waste my time.

EOS 10D Firmware Version 1.0.1 supports the following:

1. It increases the reliability of USB communication when used with the camera direct print.
2. It corrects wrong simplified Chinese letters on MENU.
