Have a read of this thread....http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=124547

=============

1 - Open an image that you would like to use as the main background image
2 - Open the second image you will use to create the double exposure effect, or in your case the overlay
3 - Make sure both image windows are showing
4 - Select the Move tool from the toolbar
5 - Click and hold anywhere on the second image and then drag it into the window for the first image and release mouse button. The image you dragged over will be on top of the image you dropped it on.
6 - Make sure your layers pallette is showing. If not, on the menubar click Windows then Layers. The image you dragged over will appear on the layers pallette as Layer 1 while the image you dropped it on will show as background.
7 - In the layers pallette make sure Layer 1 is hilighted. It should be if you've done nothing in between these steps. If not, click on Layer 1 to hilight it. Now, near the top of the layers pallette, right hand side, you will see Opacity. Drag the slider to the left to reduce the opacity of the layer 1 image and voila, double exposure.

Thanks, but just to make sure, will this work even if i have multiple layers on the first pic?

Should work. If you want to simplify things, merge the layers and "SAVE AS...." another file name. That will give you one image with one layer. Now proceed as above. Give it a shot and let us know.
