I tried to read up on lenses yesterday. Nothing. Maybe there will be a new look soon?

One possible explanation for that - you are in NY and so is Canon USA.
If they push out a new IP address behind the URL (I think I have this right, help me out network guys) the new IP address has to propagate to all of the DNS (or is it backbone?) servers around the world. If you are close to them you are likely to see content from the new IP sooner than others.
But I could be wrong. . .

Another possibility - if you are working in a proxy server environment where that page is stored in the proxy server, you may get the version in the PS. Some of the ones that I have seen will go to the site and refresh the page if you hold down the SHIFT key or the CTRL key while clicking the refresh button in IE. If that's the case, you then would get the 'The page cannot be displayed' message.

Well the site has been "hinky" today and appears to be down again. All I am trying to do is register my new camera. Plus if I can get my daily dose of EF lens....I just don't know what I am going to do!

I tried a few minutes ago, and I got there by starting at www.canon.com (http://www.canon.com) and following the navigation - but I got several errors along the way. I backed up and tried again and I eventually got there.
