My new G3 that I got is making a weird noise when it's in play/shooting mode not when it's in replay mode.
is it normal? it is sounds like a faint whirling sounds.

You probably have continuous focus on. If so, turn it off and the sounds will stop. The down-side of turning off continuous focus is that the LCD will freeze momentarily when the G3 is focusing.

Thank you ,Dana. You were right, and btw it was you that convince me to buy the G3 , I dont know if you remember my thread: on what i should do? get a sony V1 or G5 or a G3. You a great asset to this forum and I like your thread on ,betcha you didnt know this. very coool.

Thanks, that's very nice of you to say that. I have learned a ton here, and find this forum very useful as well!
