While leaving New York's Chinatown, on my way to B&H today, happened upon a store/factory in the Village that makes neon signs.

When I left my house today, It's always a hard choice as to what lens to bring. More times than not, when I know I'm going to be doing a lot of walking, I reach for my 70-300 DO IS, as I did today.

In the store, I realized this was not the best choice, as I needed to step far back. What made it worse, the lock that stops zoom creep was &*(% BROKEN. I had to fiddle with it for quite a while to get it to zoom in and out. Looks like a trip to Canon. Darn.

Well, here's two shots. Not the greatest, and it was rather dark in there.

As always, I'm always open to criticism and editing.

Thanks for looking.

I expect to receive on Friday a Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS to put on my 20D for a "walking around" setup. I also have the 10-22mm and 100-400mm lenses set aside for this kit. Those images don't both look like they were taken in B&H.

I like the first. Remeinds me of spectometer reading. I'm a chemist, what can I say?

Groovy colors. It does remind one of spectrophotometry. I remember my high school days with those test tubes, a centrifuge, and a spectrophotometer, but that's a different story...
