Lens Fog Issue

I am having a problem with my lenses fogging when I take them outdoors. I live in Florida where it is quite humid. I am getting tired of having to wipe off the lens only to have it fog up again in a couple of minutes.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can prevent this from happening?

The only method I've found to avoid this problem is to keep the lens (same thing for camera) in a fully closable plastic bag, like a Ziplok. Let the gear warm up outdoors before removing from the plastic bag.
