I am looking for a 2x tele converter for Canon EOS and wanted opinions on these two lens. Any reason for one over the other?

No idea but they aren't up to the standard of the Canon one.
I presume you want the convertor to fit a range of lenses?
In which case take your 10D down to the local stockist and try both, ask them to hold the examples you test on one side and then hurry home to look at the results and choose the one which performs best with the lens you intend to use it on most. If you can't decide between them on performance, then buy the cheapest - so long as quality isn't dire......

Another consideration,...

Some manufacturers make there converters so that they WILL NOT physically lenses that they do not intend you to use with a converter.

I have a Sigma Teleconverter that is recomended for only certain Sigma EX lenses. It WILL not even fit on the back of other Sigma lenses,.. so I don't have the option of experimenting.

I'm pretty sure that Canon's are similar,. they will only fit on recomended "L" lenses.

I am also pretty sure that the Kenko will fit ANY lenses.
