Does anyone use/have an opinion on the bbst internet connection speed test from Dan Elwell? HERE (http://www.broadbandspeedtest.net/help/faq.asp)
...or do you know of a better/more accurate & reliable one? I'd really like to have an accurate measure of my connection quality & speed even if I have to pay for a good test.
thanks,
Tsmith

Why? I've used it on 4 different computers without a problem. It seems to be a pretty good test to me. What exactly did it do to your computer?

Just froze it up, and disconnected my internet for a few minutes. Also, you have to understand...this is quite a powerful computer I'm on. It NEVER freezes.

Not to mention that once it did start doing something, I couldn't get it to give me a result.

Interesting, but I still don't understand. I've used this test on 3 different desktops ranging from VERY powerful, to pretty standard and a standard VAIO laptop and get VERY consistent results everytime. I've probably run it at least 50 times without a glitch.
