Beautiful kids and a beautiful shot. I assume you were going for a high key effect but IMO, it's a little too overexposed.

Nice shot, ditto on the overexposed. But none the less nice shot.

I saw the first photo earlier and boy, am I glad I came back to it. The 2nd edit is much better. Your kids are beautiful and I love how you positioned them for the shot.

new here. love the pic, what lighting/setup do you use? At home? I need specs cuz I'm new and would love to do what you have done. Great pic but don't like the 'up the nose' of your girl. But still great shot. perfect of your son...love his hair. my son has curls too and they are tdf.

Welcome to you and to Tracy. It's great to see new people all the time because I'm pretty new.

Your first post is wonderful. The adjustment is great. Keep posting. You have beautiful kids.

I know what you mean about taking what you can get! I take a bunch at first that are 'ok' then hope and pray for better ones. :)
Hope I didn't tick you off w/ my comment...it came out the wrong way I think.
Anyway, what is your setup? I would love to know what all you used to take that picture because I'd like to do the same w/ my kids.

Thanks!
Tracy

If you don't mind people playing with your photos, go into your sig and turn on the "Image Editing ok" switch.

There is a lot to be learned from this although some people prefer not to have their photos tampered with.

Wow! The edit is definitely an improvement! Your kids are beautiful! I love the curls! I was really hoping one of our kids would get my hubby's curls, but so far no such luck!

scotgasch - LOVE the PP work! Great job!

Well...
1. first of all I did a levels adjustment because the image was a little flat
2. made a selection of the girl's eyes
3. added a levels adjustment layer and adjusted the eyes a bit
4. did the same to the boy then flattened
5. made a duplicate image
6. added a gaussian blur at about 9
7. dragged the blurred image to the original while holding shift
8. added a layer mask
9. painted with black at 100% over the eyes, nostrils, mouth, and eyebrows of the kids
10. adjusted the opacity of the blurred layer to about 50%
11. did some dodging around the edges
12.....I think that's it.

I like the image and the last edit a lot. My only question is .. when will they be scheduled to be separated ? Oh ... they aren't conjoined twins ? *S*
