I was bored yesterday. So I went down to Assatuege Island and started walking north towards Ocean City. This section of beach is typicall abandoned (accept for the occasional Nude sun bather when the weather is nice)
So during my hike found and photographed some neat things. A whale vertabrae, some more whales bones, fishing pots and stumbled on this.......

Ahh, a McGruff trap.
They have outlawed McGruff fishing out here in California, and have placed them on the endangered species list, along with honest politicians, real governors and customer service representatives.
They are very tricky to trap, as you must set the traps just below the high tide line, and wait for the tide to bring them ashore.
Good capture!
Show us your whale bones . . . .

Nice shot, a little dark on my monitor though. I would like to see your captures of whale bones also.

Actually, Steven, I think that "cage" is really his shark protection cage and not a "trap" at all! He is clearly alive and well and sticking his tongue out at Patrick! Notice he doesn't look waterlogged, either. Yup, just another happy dog that has been harrassing the East coast sharks!

This is the right place, looks like an Art installation you may see in NYC :) Good eye, nice pic. Now where's that whale vertebrae?

In a california gallery, that work of art would sell for thousands of $$
