Nice try, but very hard to do.
There is too much grass in front of the lens. The white on the left is totally without detail and over-exposed.

The grass that is closest is an obstruction. The lighting is also too bright on the left. Consider how things look on the right side, great! Reshoot and try to shoot with an overcast sky or less lighting.

Hi
I think the idea of photographing the cat in the grass
is a very good and creative one. It adds a sense of mystery to your image.
Different from the pet cat lying on the easy chair.

The main lesson from this image is to avoid too wide an
exposure range in your pictures.
It is virtually impossible to obtain shadow and highlight
detail in the same shot where the difference is about
3 stops.
Expose for the shadows as you have done and the highlights
are lost.
Expose for the highlights and the shadows go black.

I would stay with the cat in the grass theme but to cut down the exposure range shoot all in sunshine and expose for the brighter areas or shoot in open shade.

Flash could not be effectively used here as it would wash
out the detail in the foreground grass.

This is a nice creative shot that will succeed with a narrower
light to shadow range.

You can often get away with dark shadows if you expose for the highlights, especially in a shot like this,
but washed out highlights usually spoil the whole picture.
