Here's a photo I took of "Ile de Chateau" last week in France while on Holiday. It was a moment when for about 5 mins the river [Seine] went flat, before the breeze rippled the surface again.

Timing is everything, LN, and you made great work of it. A beautiful scene. I may have increased contrast/saturation slightly but that is my taste only.

Thanks Peter,

I tried changing the contrast/saturation, but although I liked the overall effect, I wasn't too happy with how the house reacted... so I've ended up leaving it.

cheers

A very pleasant photograph.

Refreshing to see the Seine outside of Paris.

Interesting picture. I have taken a similar reflection pictures in the past. I don't find them engading pictures for some reason. I don't find the eye is drawn to any particular portion of the picture making the theme or subject hard to determine. Is it the reflection or is it the building?

These particular features I have found make for a picture that is a great wallpaper for the computer. The blues especially seem to have a nice calming affect. Not that using a computer is ever furstrating! (haha)

Take the critic for what it is worth, it is only one persons opinion, and an uninformed one at that.
