I had to take some film shots for my Mom, after 5 years away from film, I pulled out my Elan IIE with the 580 EX for some bounce flash shots.

After everyone of the 24 frames, I chimped at back of the Elan to see if I need flash compansation. I mean after every shot, knowing full well there was no LCD on the back. I swear I said "Son of Butcher!" to myself atleast 10 times.

I can't stop it, HELP!!

How do you people deal with that? Do you still have full comfidence for the lap to produce prints with proper exposure?

What would be cool is a tiny sensor in a film camera to give you a live histogram.

Heh, you know I used a EOS 500 film camera yesterday with this strange thing called film. Black and white also. After every shot, I was looking at the back, and wondering why my shots were extremely under-exposed. Bad habits, huh? :)

My name is Curtis, and I'm a chimp-a-holic!

Same thing happened to me when I took a few shots with my sister's film camera a few weeks ago.

So I decided to turn off the auto-review on my 20D to get me out of the habit. I can still review shots if I need to, but I figure if you're looking at every one, eventually you're going to miss something.

Turning off the LCD will save some battery, too.

First digi-cam I used was a Sony at my workplace... no viewfinder, just the LCD screen. Took me a long time to remember to not smash it up against my face to compose the image! :-)
