Hey all,
I have a lot of pictures I took years ago saved on a CD. Is it possible to have these developed in the same manner I would have pictures developed from a memory card? Thanks a LOT for your help. I'm relatively new to photography, and it isn't my strong area. (I am a musician/composer by training)
Yours,

Yes. Costco, Wal-Mart and most stores that used to only do film developing in an hour now do digital in an hour. Pro labs and pro photo stores will also have the capability.
At Costco, for example, they have terminals where you insert your CD and then select what prints you want and what sizes. The photos are then transferred over to the digital printer and printed. 4x6's are 19 cents each. 8x10's are $1.99.
If you go to COstco.com you can also send the photos over the Internet and then pick them up when you go to the store.

I find costco though to be "You get what you pay for" my brother takes pictures of his family with his Kodak digicam and prints them off there. He doesn't see a difference but I always find them to be darker then they should be.
In say Canada (or Canuckia if you are from the west) I find London Drugs and The Real Canadian Superstore to be the best "Box store" to print digital pictures. Why? I think it is they are not as busy as Wal Mart or Costco? Not sure but when printing pictures always shop around.
Its a GREAT idea to print out pictures and dispite what some say, it costs no less to print a digital picture then a film, only difference is you don't buy film anymore, but if you do the math they basically are at PAR with each other.

I find costco though to be "You get what you pay for" I've found that I get way more than I've paid for as their prints are excellent! Is he using the correct printer profile?
