I have had my S230 for a while now and I've ignored this for quite some time.

Whenever I connect my s230 via USB and put it in play mode and turn it on, a popup screen appears which says:

"Event on device IXY320, PS S230, IXUS V3"
"Please choose the application which should receive the image"
"Registered Applications"

However there are no registered applications. I have simply been clicking cancel and then opening up ZB..

However now I've moved on to using Cam4you utilities to transfer my pictures.

Why is this event doing this and why are there no registered applications? How do I either register applications or make this event stop triggering this window?

I would like Cam4you to come up automatically like it is supposed to (i have that option set) but it doesn't work. I suppose it may be because of this other window popping up.

Thanks

It's a strange quirk with Windows 2000 Service Pack 3. You can fix it so that it doesn't pop up at all, and instead, the program of your choice will startup instead.

- In Control Panel, open up Scanners and Cameras.
- Double-click on your camera model.
- Click the Events tab.
- Uncheck all but the program you want to open when you connect your camera.
- Click on Apply, then OK. That's it!
