If you'r proud of your results with the EF 24-70 f2.8L, please give me a link to your site that has representative examples.

Thanks.

I just got mine today but haven't had a chance to take some good test prints with it. I hope to do that this weekend. It's a heavy little lens, that's for sure. Makes me wonder how much the 70-200 2.8L IS going to weight.

I did note that they changed the position of the focusing ring and the zoom ring. The focusing ring is now in front and that's the first thing I grab when I put my hand around it. So it's going to take a little getting use to compared to my other Canon lenses. It's uncomfortable that way now, but I'll see after I shoot with it.

Hiya,
I like the lens . And if you know what you are doing you can probably get way better results...

"downtown013" was taken with a 50mm 1.4 and "off to work" was taken with a sony cybershot

"Downtown012" was taken with a 50mm 1.4
all others were taken with a canon 24-70mm 2.8.

Hi there,

Did anybody compare it to the
28-70 2.8 L ? I have that lense at
the moment. It performed well
on the D60 but seems to fall a
bit back on the 10d ....

Best wishes,

Jeroen

Haven't got too many images from the 24-70 in my galleries yet, so here's one:

It's a 100% crop (no close-up filters or extension tubes, BTW).

Excellent shot Roger. How close where you and how much did you crop out of the camera?

Thanks for the wonderful 24-70 shot. Please publish the details when you have time. All I know is that it's 800x800p and displays at approximately 10"x10" on my 21" Trinitron, using IE 6's default viewer.

I couldn't stand it if it looked any better.
