Finally... My favorite one. Petey loved to play in bags and my brother picked him up while in the bag and swayed him back and forth. While he did that I took this picture. I didnt knotice how cool it was that you can read the font on the bag.

Hi everyone I love the pictures! Im new to this forum, and Im here to learn more about manual settings before I buy the Nikon D300. It seems to be the camera that Iam looking for.
These pictures where taken with a 8mp Kodak C875. Its a practice camera that my boyfriend bought for me.

lol.. I know im torn between Nikon and Canon. What Im looking for is something that can take pictures of something moving fast (dog running) and then have great clear pics... But I have alot of research to do before I spend a few grand.

Just to add on here - while a certain level of gear is needed for sharp photos of fast moving objects, no camera and lens combination on earth will guarantee a sharp photo. For that, you have to learn how to use the camera.

most pro motorsport photographers here (where i live i mean) use canon... those things move pretty fast and their pics are usually pretty clear :rolleyes:

canon lead the field in digital technology, so if youre buying nikon at the moment, youre buying second best

And there you have it, Canon is a very popular and respected brand. I would like to also add that a fast lens is important for capturing moving objects so look around at lenses with F/2.8. Simga, Tamron, Canon and the brand you want all have some fast lenses for varying prices. And then you need the knowledge to use it ;)

This is mostly a Canon forum, but I think there might be a few N*k*n users here as well. Do a google search for Nikon forums if you want to try to compare

My cat was the same way for the longest time. She would even growl at the door when people approached. The best part was when I was in college she would come along when I went on bike rides around campus (running after the dog) and she'd come to my classes and hang out outside the window until I walked home.

BooBoo was our only cat. She was suppose to be a barn cat (she was born in a barn - not ours ) She lived in our house and was always healthy until the last couple of weeks. She had a great life.

At first look at this kitty, it appears to be ill but maybe not.... :confused: Possibly a bath and a never ending supply of Fancy Feast Select Gourmet cat food...

the owner keeps her cat outside. i know she has another cat but the cat was not friendly. if i had a cat of my own it wouldn't live outside and i would give it a bath every week and feed it too.

outside living doesnt make a healthy cat look like that - and a healthy cat doesnt need bathing either. we have had over 50 cats in my lifetime (not all at once! lol) and the only time some of them ever looked like that was shortly before death. and we never bathed them.

my guess is that cat is either severely malnourished or ill. there are a few chronic conditions that can make a fed cat neglect its coat and be that thin - one common one is kidney failure, and another is FIV (feline HIV)

And below is "Berlin" her 2 year older 1/2 brother. For 2 years now it's been hard to get him off my lap. Then today, (after having an additude all night about her), he attacked my face and has hid DEEP under the bed where I can't reach the little B******!!!! You'd think he'd be thankful to have a little sis to play with since he screwed things up with the ferrets by getting too rough with one oneday and ended up a little beat up and embarrased. Cats can be sweet, but they're also a little too moody at times.
