A repossession company in the Hampton Roads area called the cat shelter that I volunteer at, to see if we could take three kittens that the found in a repossessed car, the kittens were days old and had been eating there own poop to survive. They were fostered by a volunteer and nursed to health after having various illnesses. They are now 2 months old now and ready to be homed so they are living at the shelter. These are the sorriest looking kittens I have ever seen, and I caught a few shots of them-although I missed focus a few times as they are fast little things!

I confess this was the first time I ever tried this with the cats. I know better, but they surprised me with their patience. I dared not leave the outfits on long.
Nice looking bunch of cats. They're sweeties. Those cats range in age from 8 months to almost 18 years. All the tabbies are rescues (2 of them from my garage a year apart) and the solid black and black & white ones are siblings from an adoption back in 1991.

Now if the youngsters will just leave the tree and ornaments alone!

as a cat lover, cat owner and one who rescued a cat hit by a car 14 years aago and he is still next to me as i type this, these shots are amazing, show not only the playful side, the cute side, the sensitive side they show the Innocence and love they posses.

Hey, thanks! That is my female. Here is the younger male. Both shelter rescues (along with the other 4). Edit: Not mother and son (I get asked that a lot!) - Adopted 1 year apart, both sickies that weren't scheduled to make it out of quarantine. Those cats were prone to "disappear" and be found homes privately while I worked at the shelters :lol:

Some more pics over a few posts of our three, all taken with the S5. A lot is me experimenting with different settings in manual mode (some in one of the preset modes), some using the "SuperMacro" function of the S5. None have been post processed apart from scaling down in GIMP.

First up - our old girl Kimba. She's the wife's cat, had her from before my time. We think she's about 16 or so, but she's a sprightly cat who still gives the two younger cats a run for their money! Also not a cat to be messed with - has razor sharp claws and uses them at random. :eek:

A few pics of my bro's Tonkinese cats. The secret to getting these shots is unhooking one side of your camera strap so that it hangs down off your camera. Then set the camera to fast shutter speed and shoot, shoot, shoot!

Good catch on the green. I adjust the WB a bit and then pulled the green channel down a little (deleted the originals)
